Welcome to Carson Elementary School – Home of the Cougars!

Located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, Carson Elementary proudly serves Transitional Kindergarten through 6th-grade students from communities across Skamania County - including North Bonneville, Stevenson, Carson, and Home Valley. As a small, community-centered school with just under 300 students and 13 classroom teachers, we offer a personalized, inclusive learning environment where every child is known, supported, and challenged to grow.

Led by Principal Sarah Dodson - a lifelong educator who grew up in our community and brings experience from early childhood to college-level teaching - Carson Elementary is committed to helping students thrive both academically and socially. Our school offers 1:1 Chromebook access, a vibrant music program, and physical education. Outside the classroom, students enjoy two playgrounds and a student-tended garden that connects them to the natural beauty of our region.
